NOVO-OGAREVO, January 20th, 2004 (RIA Novosti correspondent) - Vladimir Putin sees "further increase in the project efficiency and better project management" as the main task of Russia's credit co-operation with the World Bank.
"The Russian government has recently somewhat corrected this bilateral process," the Russian president noted at his meeting with World Bank President James Wolfensohn.
According to Putin, a Russian-British joint working group is taking efforts to the effect.
The president deems it important that "experts have worked to raise the efficiency and flexibility of financial co-operation instruments." "They should take into consideration the increasing stability of the budget and financial situation in Russia," stressed Vladimir Putin.
