MOSCOW, January 6, 2004. /RIA Novosti/ -- According to preliminary estimates, the net export of private capital from Russia in 2003 equaled $2.9 billion against $8.1 billion in 2002, falling by 2.8 times over a year. The figures are contained in a report posted on the Russian Central Bank's official web-site.
In 2001 net export of private capital from Russia totaled $14.8 billion.
Net import of capital by banks equaled $9.6 billion in 2003, against $2.5 billion and $1.3 billion in 2002 and 2001 respectively.
Net export of capital by non-financial organizations and households in 2003, 2002 and 2001 made $12.5 billion, $10.6 billion and $16.1 billion respectively. Assets of non-financial sector do not include debt on goods deliveries under inter-governmental agreements.
