BEIJING (Sputnik) – According to the report, the Chinese GDP growth amounted to 6.7 percent in 2016, which is the worst result since 1991.

“The Chinese economy growth will exceed 6.5 percent. China will become the largest consumer market within next two-three years,” the ministry said, as quoted by the Phoenix Television.

The forecast coincides with the prognosis of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences that issued a corresponding report in December.
