TOKYO (Sputnik) — On October 24, the JTBC television network reported that Park's "shadow adviser" Choi Soon-sil allegedly received drafts of the president’s speeches before they were publicly delivered, though she had never held a public post. The following day, Park officially admitted asking Choi for advice on speeches and public relations issues, and apologized for "causing public concern."

"The questioning of the president is most likely to take place later this week. But there is also a possibility of the questioning being delayed. In that case, it will be possible after the indictment of Choi," a Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office official said, as quoted by the Yonhap news agency.

As for the place of questioning, the official said the most likely option is a third location, instead of the prosecutors' office or the presidential office. According to the official, sending a questionnaire to the president instead of a direct face-to-face questioning will not be considered as an option.

The revelation has caused massive anti-government protests in the country, with people and opposition parties calling on the president to resign. An arrest warrant has been issued for Choi, while the president expressed her willingness to testify in the case.
