MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Earlier in the day, two trains collided in Karachi. Media reported about 17 people killed and 40 more injured.
The Pakistani Geo TV broadcaster reported, citing a medical source, that 21 bodies and 65 injured people had been transported to a local hospital.
The media outlet added that the deadly accident occurred at 7:18 a.m. local time (02:18 GMT).
According to the broadcaster, all trains from the largest city in Pakistan have been suspended, while the trains heading for Karachi had been stopped before the end of a rescue operation.
