MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The G20 leaders summit that took up place in the Chinese city of Hangzhou was a great success as all the goals that had been set were accomplished, President of China Xi Jinping said Monday.
"Dear friends, the 11th G20 leaders summit has reached its end and it has been a success," Xi said at the final press conference.
The Chinese president stressed that the collaboration between all G20 leaders, representatives of other countries and international organizations helped reach all the planned objectives.
The summit was held on September 4-5 in the city of Hangzhou in China.
The G20 leaders committed to ratifying the Trade Facilitation Agreement by the end of 2016, agreed to set up a special task force to streamline innovation, expressed their desire to maintain close ties with the United Kingdom post-Brexit and vowed to strengthen their monetary and fiscal policies.
