Muslim Man Praised as Hero for Not Abandoning Friends During Dhaka Siege
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, at least 12 people were injured and one policeman killed in an explosion at Eid celebration, marking the end of the Islamic holy month Ramadan, in Kishoreganj district in central Bangladesh.

"The US government assesses that the terrorist threat is real and credible," the warning stated.

The State Department also added that the US government officials in Bangladesh are not allowed to visit public places in the country, travel on uncovered means of transportation and attend large gatherings.

"The US Embassy encourages US citizens to adopt similar security measures," the warning added.

Today's attack came just a week since a group of armed terrorists took dozens hostage inside the restaurant located in a diplomatic quarter of the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka. The attack left some 30 people, mostly foreigners, dead, while 13 hostages were rescued by the country's security forces.
