MOSCOW (Sputnik) – At least 18 people died, 16 others sustained injures in a road accident in the Indian northwestern state of Rajasthan, local media reported Sunday citing local police.
"The pickup van rammed into a stationary truck leaving 14 people, including 11 women, dead. Four persons succumbed to injuries on way to a hospital in Udaipur," Sub Inspector Ratan Lal said as quoted by NDTV broadcaster.
He added that 16 people were hospitalized following the accident, which took place Saturday night, according to the channel.
