At least 85 people died after two powerful explosions at a restaurant on Saturday morning in the Indian town of Petlawad, Madhya Pradesh state, about 800 km south of New Delhi.
According to reports, the initial blast was caused by a cooking gas cylinder that blew up at around 8.30 am local time, when the restaurant was tightly packed with patrons eating breakfast.
A second explosion led to further casualties when people gathered outside the restaurant after the first blast were caught in a second explosion, that of gelatin explosives stored in a nearby warehouse. As a result of the two explosions at least 85 people were reportedly killed, and around 100 people were injured.
