Indonesia's foreign ministry said its newly appointed envoy went to the Brazilian presidential palace to present his credentials only to see the ceremony delayed in what Jakarta views as an “unfriendly act.”

Another Brazilian was executed in January for drug offences, and Brazil responded by recalling its ambassador to Indonesia at the time.
