India's Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj will take part in bilateral talks with Chinese counterpart Wang Yi during a visit to China, IANS news agency reported Thursday.

NEW DELHI, January 22 (Sputnik) India's Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj's four-day visit to China will begin January 31. She will become the first minister of Narendra Modi's government, formed in May 2013, to visit China.

Earlier, a source in the Russian Foreign Ministry told the press that Beijing would host a tripartite China-India-Russia meeting, with Russian Foreign Ministry Sergei Lavrov participating, on February 2.

Apart from trade issues, the top diplomats of India and China are expected to discuss the border dispute. In 2014, the two-week military standoff between the two nations in the Ladakh region of the western Himalayas. The Himalayan border territories have remained a source of dispute since the 1962 Sino-Indian war.
