    Majority of the South Africa's parliament voted against the impeachment of President Jacob Zuma, according to parliament speaker Baleka Mbete.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The parliament of South Africa voted on Tuesday against the impeachment of President Jacob Zuma, parliament speaker Baleka Mbete said.

    As many as 177 lawmakers voted in favor of the motion, 198 voted against and nine abstained.

    "Therefore, the motion of no confidence in the president is accordingly negative," Mbete said as broadcast by the IOL portal.
