MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The car exploded earlier in the day when students and workers were on their way to downtown Cairo.
According to witness reports, the traffic on the bridge was stopped.
Since the ouster of Islamist Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi in 2013 the country has been hit by terror attacks.
Attacks have been more severe in North Sinai, where Egypt’s army is combating a militant Islamist insurgency.
Last week, one of the militant groups claimed responsibility for an explosion in front of Cairo University that left eight people injured, including four police officers. Another bomb blasted Saturday, with no casualties reported.
