Russian forces and the Donbass militias continue to advance in Ukraine amid the special operation launched by Moscow on 24 February. The militia forces seized control of downtown Mariupol, tightening the encirclement around the remaining Ukrainian nationalists, who are now under siege at the Azovstal steel plant.
On 4 April, the Russian Air Force eliminated 17 Ukrainian targets, including two command posts, according to the MoD. In total, the military has destroyed over 125 planes, 394 drones, 1,948 tanks and other armoured vehicles, and 212 rocket launchers.
