The postal service has now removed the unusual update from the site, apologised to its customers and is investigating how the the mishap occurred.

Australians using their national postal service have been puzzled on Saturday after the operator's website greeted them with quite a curious message.

The latest news section on the Australia Post website’s eParcel login page had only one update to offer the users, which read "We are smoking meth".
