Earlier the day the US media has reported about US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson's possible resignation.
According to The New York Times' Tuesday's report, the White House has a plan which would force out Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and replace him with CIA Director Mike Pompeo.
Senior administration officials told the outlet that the plan, developed by Chief of Staff John Kelly, would be put into place within the next several weeks.
The post of the CIA director is reportedly going to go to Republican Senator Tom Cotton, according to Washington's plan.
The New York Times could not immediately clarify whether President Donald Trump had granted final approval to the initiative.

Tillerson refuted the report as an "attempt to sow dissension" and confirmed his commitment to the president.

However, Trump, despite denying that Tillerson might have called him a "moron", later said in an interview to Forbes that he knows who would have won if he and the US secretary of state compared their IQ tests.
