WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The Senate Republicans’ latest measure to repeal the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, would increase the total number of uninsured Americans by 16 million by 2026, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) said in a report.

The CBO reported on Wednesday that under the revised Better Care Reconciliation Act (BCRA) of 2017, also known as the "Skinny Bill," the number of uninsured Americans would increase by 16 million by 2026, a 4 million person drop versus the previous version.

The previous version of the BCRA would increase the number of uninsured Americans by 22 million by 2026, according to the CBO.

Another version of a Senate healthcare bill to Obamacare without replacing it would increase the number of uninsured Americans by 32 million by 2026.
