Tough Exterior: What's Behind Trump's Message That He Stood Up to Putin
Protesters have been carrying banners with crossed-out names and portraits of the US leader on them. Their final destination is Place de Clichy in northwestern Paris. Heavy police contingents were deployed there. Some people are seen with banners reading "Make our planet great again, dump Trump", apparently implying that they are dissatisfied with the US president's climate policies.

On Thursday, Trump arrived in France on his first two-day official visit. During the first day, the US president visited the US embassy in Paris, held bilateral talks with Macron and had dinner at the Eiffel Tower. Earlier on Friday, Trump watched the commemorative military parade on the Champs-Elysees in Paris.

Macron and Trump held a joint press conference in Paris yesterday.
