UN Special Envoy Staffan de Mistura refused to comment a meeting with the US Ambassador to Kazakhstan George Krol in Astana ahead of the upcoming Syrian talks, but stated that the sides were "working hard".

ASTANA (Sputnik) — UN Special Envoy Staffan de Mistura on Sunday said after a meeting with the US Ambassador to Kazakhstan George Krol in Astana ahead of the upcoming Syrian talks that the sides were "working hard", but refused to give additional comments.

“No comment, we’re at the state of working hard,” Mistura told reporters when asked to comment on the results of the meeting.
