The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has decreased its oil production by 221,000 barrels per day in December 2016 down to 33.08 million barrels amid the deal on oil output curtailment, the cartel said Wednesday in its monthly report.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The largest decline in crude oil production was recorded in Saudi Arabia, Nigeria and Venezuela, while Iraq, Angola and Libya showed the largest increase.

"According to secondary sources, OPEC crude oil production in December decreased by 221 tb/d from the previous month to average 33.08 mb/d," the report reads.
