State Department Claims US-Russia Dialogue on 'Major Issues' Will Continue

Dialogue between the United States and Russia continues on topics of major importance, US Department of State spokesperson John Kirby said in a briefing on Wednesday.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said almost all levels of the Russia-US dialogue are now frozen.

"Certainly on the major issues, and the issues that matter most, there continues to be dialogue. So I’m not sure what to make of his [Peskov’s] comment. That certainly not the way we see communications between Moscow and Washington," Kirby told reporters.
