The murder of Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov targeted Russian-Turkish relations but will not impact the Syrian crisis, Syrian opposition High Negotiations Committee (HNC) representative George Sabra told Sputnik on Tuesday.

Lavrov Says Karlov's Killers Aimed to Undermine Russian-Turkish Ties
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Monday, Karlov was killed by a gunman at an art gallery exhibition opening in Ankara. Three other people were also injured in the attack.

"I think that the terrorist act did not only aim at the Russian ambassador, the target was Turkey and Russian-Turkish relations. I don't think that the incident will have an impact on the Syrian crisis," Sabra said.
