South Korean President Park Geun-hye's approval rating is still declining amid a political scandal involving her "shadow adviser" Choi Soon-sil’s interference into state affairs.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Park’s approval rating reached its minimum, with only 9.9 percent of South Koreans endorsing the president, Yonhap reported on Thursday, citing the latest poll by Realmeter.

The poll also showed that 73.9 percent of respondents consider Park should resign or be impeached by parliament.

Besides, the support of the ruling Saenuri Party also decreased by 1 percent, reaching an all-time low of 18.2 percent.

Realmeter surveyed 1,525 South Koreans, while a margin of error is 2.5 percentage points.

On October 24, the JTBC television network reported that Park's confident Choi Soon-sil allegedly received drafts of the president’s speeches before they were publicly delivered, though she had never held a public post. The following day, Park officially admitted asking Choi for advice on speeches and public relations issues, and apologized for "causing public concern."

The revelation has caused massive anti-government protests in the country, with people and opposition parties calling on the president to resign. An arrest warrant has been issued for Choi, while the president expressed her willingness to testify in the case.
