MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Trump's chief aide Steve Bannon will discuss any proposals related to the UK policy with Farage first before talking to any other UK politician, the Daily Telegraph newspaper reported citing Arron Banks, a major UKIP donor.

“There is no doubt about it that Steve Bannon will talk to Nigel Farage before any other British politician and run stuff by him,” Banks was quoted as saying by the newspaper.

On Sunday, Farage held a meeting with Donald Trump in New York, being the first politician to meet the newly elected US president.

Meanwhile, Downing Street rejected the offer of former the UKIP acting leader to assist in improvement of relations between the United Kingdom and the United States and be "a third person in that relationship".
