MOSCOW (Sputnik) — About 40 migrants were evacuated in the south of Stockholm as fire broke out in an asylum center, media reported Sunday.
According to The Local, the evacuation took place on Saturday night.
The fire is said to have been taken under control but not yet fully extinguished.
The fire was spotted by police who then alerted the center's staff, according to Carina Andersson from the Stockholm Police, as quoted by the outlet, citing the TT news agency.
The investigation is said to be underway into what is considered an arson attack.
