MOSCOW (Sputnik) — His statement comes a day after the parliamentary elections were held across Russia. According to the preliminary results, all parties present in the parliament of the current convocation have gained enough votes to enter the legislature for another time.
“It is quite possible,” Naryshkin told reporters, when asked whether the so-called "package" deal, similar to the one agreed by factions in the lower house of the previous convocation, could be reached this time.
After the previous parliamentary election, held in 2011, the parties that won seats in the legislature agreed to share between themselves the seats of lower house vice speakers and heads of committees.
With almost all ballots counted, the governing United Russia is leading among all parties with 54.19 percent of the votes. The Communist Party gained 13.43 percent of the votes, the Liberal Democrats party has 13.25 percent, while Just Russia won 6.18 percent.
