MOSCOW (Sputnik) —Moscow does not support the decision of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to grant Ukraine a new tranche of aid, the Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday.
"We do not support such a decision, we consistently oppose it, it is a constant position of Russia, and nothing actually has changed here," Peskov told journalists.
Earlier in the day, the executive board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has agreed to provide a new $1-billion tranche of financial aid to Ukraine, according to a statement issued by the organization.
