A large road accident in Afghanistan killed at least 36 people and left dozens injured.

The deadly accident occurred on Sunday morning at the road from Kabul to Kandagar, the country's second largest city, Pajhwok Afghan News Agency reported. According to local officials, a fuel tanker collided with a bus, killing at least 35 people.

The investigation into the causes of the crash is underway.
