Russian Gymnast Maria Paseka Wins Silver On Vault at Rio Olympics

RIO DE JANEIRO (Sputnik) — Russian artistic gymnast Aliya Mustafina scored a gold medal in the women’s uneven bars finals at the Rio Olympics on Sunday, scoring the 28th medal for the Russian national team.

Mustafina scored 15.900 points, beating US gymnast Madison Kocian with 15.833 points.

The bronze medal in the uneven bars finals was awarded to Germany’s Sophie Scheder.
