The reporter from the Russian REN TV channel, Valentin Trushnin, earlier detained in Istanbul airport has arrived back in Moscow, the broadcaster's press service said Tuesday.

MOSCOW, (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, it was reported that Trushnin had departed for Moscow.

"He landed at [Moscow] Vnukovo airport at 17:38 [14:38 GMT]," the press service said.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that Trushnin had departed for Moscow.

On Monday, the broadcaster announced that Trushnin, who was sent to prepare a report about the military coup attempt in Turkey, was detained at an Istanbul airport.

REN TV is one of the largest broadcasters in Russia.
