The hacktivist group Anonymous vowed to track down those responsible for the truck attack in Nice, the group said in its latest video Friday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — In 2015, Anonymous posted a video on YouTube in response to the attacks in Paris, stating that the hacktivists had declared war on the outlawed in Russia and many other countries terrorist group Daesh and would launch a large global operation against the extremist group.

"To defend our values and our freedom, we are tracking down members of the terrorist group responsible for these attacks. We will not give up… and we will do all that is necessary to end their actions," the masked man in the video said.

On Thursday night, a truck rammed into a large crowd that was celebrating Bastille Day in Nice. At least 84 people, including 10 children and teenagers, were killed and dozens of others were injured.

The driver was shot dead by police. According to identification documents found inside the truck, the driver was a 31-year-old male resident of Nice of Tunisian origin. It is unclear whether he had any accomplices.
