Rahul Gandhi, the heir apparent of the Gandhi family and vice president of the opposition Congress party, waded into politically muddled waters as Punjab braces for assembly elections in the coming months.
In a stinging speech, the Gandhi scion declared: “The government here encourages the drug trade because it benefits from it. We can solve the problem in one month if we are voted to power.”
He was speaking at a public protest arranged by the opposition party.
However, Twitter was unable to swallow the words of Gandhi and decided to go for the kill.
Sample these tweets to get a taste of what Gandhi was dished up. Of course, this is not the first time Gandhi has felt the wrath of Indian social media.
