MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the Iranian police, they seized a large amount of explosives and explosive devices during the anti-terror operation.

"The members of the terrorist group who had come to the region on a sabotage mission were trapped by the police," Sistan-Balochistan Police Force Commander Brig. Gen. Hossein Rahimi said, as quoted by FARS, adding that one police officer was killed during the raid.

The terrorists are said to be part of the Jaish al-Adl (Army of Justice), a radical Salafi terrorist group active in the south-east of Iran since 2012.
