Lockheed Named Top US Defense Contractor in 2015 With Deals Worth $36Bln

The US defense company Lockheed Martin won three dozen billion in US government contracts last year, more than twice the value of deals awarded to the next biggest competitor Boeing, according to a US Federal Procurement Data System spreadsheet publicly released on Monday.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — With $16.6 billion, Boeing was in second place followed by General Dynamics with $13.6 billion and Raytheon with $13.1 billion.

"The Federal Procurement Report data can be used for geographical analysis, market analysis, and analysis of the congressional and presidential initiatives," the report explained.

The report lists the value of total business deals with the top 101 US contractors, with a company named Mythics as number 101 with $480 million.
