MOSCOW (Sputnik) — In early March, the newspaper reported, citing informed Russian and US sources, that such a meeting could take place in the second half of April in a European country.
The meeting will be reportedly devoted to the implementation of the 2013 Russia-US cybersecurity pact on measures of trust in cyberspace that set up a direct hotline between the two countries to prevent cyber incidents' escalation. A working group is also expected to address a broad range of Internet security concerns. The US side, however, suspended its participation in the body amid the tensions between West and Russia over Ukraine in 2014.
The Russian delegation will include representatives of the country's Security Council, Defense and Foreign ministries while Washington will send representatives of the National Security Council, the Pentagon and the State Department.
