MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Two explosions hit Brussels' Zaventem airport at around 8:00 a.m. local time (07:00 GMT) on Tuesday. Later in the day, blasts were heard across metro stations in central Brussels.
"When it comes to the people that died, we still cannot give the exact number but it is between 10 and 15 people," a press officer said.
"What we know right now is that there are 24 people severely burnt at the metro station at Maelbeek so they were sent to the military hospital in a commune in Brussels… There were 11 people seriously injured… there were also people lightly injured," the press officer added.
