WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The airstrikes in Syria took place on February 21 and targeted sites near four cities, including Hasakah and Hawl. Daesh tactical units, buildings and logistics routes were destroyed in the attacks, according to the press release.
"In Syria, coalition military forces conducted 14 strikes using attack, fighter and remotely piloted aircraft against ISIL [Daesh] targets," CENTCOM stated.
"Additionally in Iraq, coalition military forces conducted five strikes coordinated with and in support of the Government of Iraq using fighter aircraft against ISIL [Daesh] targets."
The coalition also conducted five airstrikes near four Iraqi cities to the north and west of Baghdad, including Ramadi, Sinjar, Fallujah and Mosul. The aerial attacks destroyed multiple Daesh tactical units and fighting positions.
