Norway Prioritizes Neighborly Ties With Russia – Foreign Minister
MOSCOW (Sputnik) The Norwegian authorities renewed the deportation of refugees, who arrived in the country through the Russian-Norwegian border to Russia, a spokeswoman for the National Police Immigration Service (PU) said.

"We can confirm that the deportation procedure is renewed and the destination points [for refugees] are Moscow and St.Petersburg," Tuva Otterlei Blikom said on Wednesday, as quoted by the NRK broadcaster.

According to the PU, five people have already been returned to Russia.

About 5,500 migrants crossed the Russian-Norwegian border in 2015 to seek asylum in Norway. Asylum seekers who chose to enter Norway through Russia are not eligible for asylum, according to Oslo, as they arrived from a safe country.

Oslo has announced its intention to deport all people who do not have the right to remain in the country. Russia stopped readmitting such asylum seekers from Norway in January "for security reasons."
