MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Magyar Nemzet newspaper reported on Saturday, citing own sources, that Orban could visit Russia to meet country's leadership and to discuss cooperation in the sphere of nuclear energy.

According to the newspaper, Orban could discuss the extension of the only Hungarian Paks nuclear power plant (NPP).

A series of deals, signed in late 2014, envisages the construction of the NPP's units 5 and 6 with Russian-built  reactors, as well as nuclear fuel supplies and maintenance. Moscow also issued a $11-billion loan to Budapest for the Paks II project, which Hungary pledged to pay back over the two decades following 2023 when the two new Paks reactors are expected to go online.
