Obama: US Should Reduce Influence of Money in Politics
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — President Barack Obama’s final State of the Union speech does not match his poor political record during his two terms in office, South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley said in the official Republican response.

"Unfortunately, the President’s record has fallen far short of his soaring words," Haley said on Tuesday evening. The United States, she added, is "facing the most dangerous terror threat… since September 11, [2001] and this president appears unwilling or unable to deal with it."

Haley went on to outline the Republican national agenda heading into the 2016 presidential election, which encompasses ending Obama’s healthcare legislation, curbs on federal spending, and foreign policy agreements that are "celebrated in Israel and protested in Iran."

Traditionally, following the State of the Union address, the opposing party chooses a rising leader to deliver the official response. US media sources have reported that Haley may be a possible Republican pick for vice president.
