BEIRUT (Sputnik) — The Syrian Foreign Ministry sent on Saturday a letter to the UN secretary general and Security Council, saying that the international community's silence over the terror attack in Homs played into the hands of terrorists.
"The prolonged silence and the lack of condemnation of such terror attacks has become a source of terrorists' support, that are backed externally. They will be financed by a number of states, they are being helped in training, arming and morally. [They] arm terrorists that have come from many countries around the world," the ministry said in a statement.
The explosion took place near gas cylinders, which triggered a second blast.
Several houses and shops were damaged as a result of the two explosions.
