WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The Friday attacks in the French capital occurred at six different locations, including the Bataclan concert hall and the Stade de France stadium.
The Italian Sky Tg24 TV channel reported quoting an alleged Islamic State statement, that the attacks were the radical group’s revenge for anti-ISIL efforts in Syria.
According to the latest TV reports, 8 terrorists were killed in the Friday attacks, most of them died after detonating explosive-laden belts.
“American Airlines continues to monitor the tragic situation in Paris. Charles de Gaulle International Airport (CDG) is open, and we anticipate operating our remaining departures this evening to Paris,” the spokesman said on Friday night.
A single scheduled American Airlines flight from Dallas, Texas to Paris had been cancelled, but the rest were proceeding as originally planned, the spokesman explained.
“We have canceled Flight 48 this evening from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport to Charles de Gaulle International Airport, and we are working to re-accommodate those passengers,” the spokesman stated.
