NEW DELHI (Sputnik) — Khan had earlier posted in his Facebook that he would join ISIL in case 1993 Mumbai terror attack mastermind Yakub Memon is executed. Memon was executed last week.
Khan was arrested in the Vasant Vihar area of New Delhi, according to local police.
ISIL is an extremist religious group that declared a caliphate over large areas it seized in Iraq and Syria in 2014. It is notorious for multiple human rights atrocities.
The extremist group has been reported to recruit thousands of foreign fighters.
