At least three people have been wounded during the shooting incident at the Navy and Marine Corps Reserve Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee, local media reported on Thursday.
Two marines and one police officer have become victims of the incident, and police said the shooter is dead, CBS News said in a Twitter message.
US authorities have been investigating the incident during which a police officer was shot.
The area around the naval center has been on lockdown, with dozens of emergency vehicles present on the scene, according to media reports.
