DONETSK (Sputnik) — A total of 379 people currently remain underground after shelling has left the Skochinsky coal mine in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region without power, deputy commander of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic’s (DPR) militia Eduard Basurin said Wednesday.

“The Skochinsky coal mine has been de-energized, 379 people remain underground,” Basurin told reporters.
