WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — On Friday evening, the inmate punched the female deputy in the face and stole the police white Dodge Charger.

The suspect was described as a white male, 5 feet 8 inches and 140 pounds.

The female officer was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries she sustained during the attack.
Police are looking for the suspect, who has not been identified yet, according to reports.
A white fully marked Tippecanoe County Sheriff charger was taken approx. 0630pm. Vehicle's Driver side window was shattered out.

Police said there were other weapons in the car so the suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
