Jordan Carries Out 56 Anti-ISIL Airstrikes in Three Days
The United Arab Emirates resumed its airstrike campaign against the Islamic State (ISIL) on Tuesday, after a brief suspension of the bombing campaign as a result of pilot safety concerns.

"Aircraft of the F-16 squadron based in Jordan launched raids this morning against positions of the Daesh (ISIL) terrorist organisation, hitting their targets and returning safely to base," the country's armed service command announced.

The UAE initially suspended its airstrike campaign against ISIL in December after the group captured a Jordanian pilot.

The UAE F-16 squadron was deployed to Jordan on Sunday, following the pilot's execution at the hands of ISIL in January.
