Ukraine's Forein Ministry representative Yevhen Perebiynis accused militias of regular violations of the ceasefire, claiming that Ukraine strictly adheres to the conditions of Minsk agreements.

KIEV, November 4 (RIA Novosti) — More than 100 Ukrainian servicemen have died and 600 have been injured since the ceasefire took effect in southeastern Ukraine between independence supporters and Ukrainian forces, the country's foreign ministry spokesperson stated Tuesday.

"For the last two months more than 100 servicemen have died and 600 have been injured," the ministry's representative Yevhen Perebiynis said.

He also said that Ukraine strictly adheres to the conditions of Minsk agreements and accused militias of regular violations of the ceasefire.

The crisis in Ukraine escalated when Kiev authorities launched a military operation against independence supporters in eastern Ukraine in mid-April. Following months of bloodshed, the conflicting sides signed a ceasefire agreement on September 5 in Minsk. Both Kiev and independence supporters have accused each other of violating the ceasefire.
