MOSCOW, November 3 (R-Sport) - A goal in each half from Vladimir Dyadyun helped Rubin Kazan beat Mordovia Saransk 3-1 in the Russian Premier League on Saturday.

Rubin's eighth win of the season sees them remain in seventh but pull to within a point of Terek Grozny in sixth.

For newly promoted Mordovia, it was a ninth defeat, leaving them stuck on eight points and second from bottom in the table.

Dyadyun grabbed the opener inside 10 minutes, calmly lobbing Mordovia's prostrate goalkeeper Dmitry Abakumov after the stopper had collided with his captain Alexei Muldarov.

The home side struck back on 48 minutes, when Kirill Panchenko shook off a defender to take down a high ball and lash an unstoppable volley past Sergei Ryzhikov.

But former Russia under-21 international Dyadyun restored the lead on 75 minutes, rising unchallenged to head Cristian Ansaldi's cross into the far corner.

Venezuelan forward Jose Salomon Rondon slotted home in the last minute after Alan Kasaev's surge down the left to seal the points.

It should have been a lot more comfortable for Kurban Berdyev's team, who had a wasteful afternoon in front of goal.

Rondon cut in from the right on 40 minutes after losing a defender neatly with a Cruyff turn. The Venezuelan blazed into the box but scuffed his final effort, allowing Abakumov to save.

Then in first-half injury time, Israeli playmaker Bibras Natkho swung and missed at a low cross barely six yards out.

Earlier Saturday, FC Kuban bet Amkar Perm 3-0 to briefly go fourth before Spartak Moscow snatched that position with a 5-0 trouncing of Krylya Sovetov Samara.

On Friday, Roman Shirokov scored the winner with the last touch of the game as Zenit St. Petersburg beat FC Rostov 2-1.

Sunday sees a Moscow derby as CSKA face Lokomotiv, before Anzhi take on Terek and FC Krasnodar host Dynamo Moscow.

Alania Vladikavkaz’s game against FC Volga rounds out the weekend’s action Monday evening.
