The second docking attempt for the Progress M-06M cargo spacecraft, which flew past the International Space Station on Friday, is scheduled for 20:10 Moscow time (16:10 GMT) on Sunday, NASA said.

The second docking attempt for the Progress M-06M cargo spacecraft, which flew past the International Space Station on Friday, is scheduled for 20:10 Moscow time (16:10 GMT) on Sunday, NASA said.

"International Space Station Program officials from NASA and Roscosmos met Saturday morning and agreed to proceed toward a second docking attempt for the ISS Progress 38 cargo ship on Sunday, July 4, at approximately 12:10 p.m EDT," NASA said on its website.

The officials will meet again early on Sunday to reconfirm the status of the space station and spacecraft systems.

Friday's docking for the Progress M-06M has been aborted due to a loss of telemetry. Flight controllers reported the resupply craft flew past the International Space Station. The spacecraft was about 2 km from the station when the system received a signal to stop approaching the ISS.
